If it ain't broke, give it a facelift. 5
The previous version of our website got a lot of really great response from around the web. Over the past two years it has been featured on a multitude of web design galleries and even listed on a few “best of” lists. It’s been great, but things on the web change really quickly and we want to follow our own advice by freshening things up before they get too dated. We’re extremely busy, so it’s been hard to find time, but we’ve decided to launch with what we’ve got and release updates a little more often.

One of the biggest technical changes is that the new version is written completely in HTML5. Eli has had his time full playing with new techniques while trying to stick to his usual level of perfection (we think he’s done a pretty good job). Along with the change in markup, we’ve also gotten rid of the last few remnants of flash, which have been replaced by jQuery plugins.
Another area of the site that’s received quite a bit of attention is the blog. We’ve had a lot of really good response to our posts (when we write them), so we wanted that part of our site to be a little easier to browse. Over the next while, look for more posts and related articles to show up.
From a design standpoint, our goal is to add to the site regularly. This version has been created to be very open and flexible so that individual pages can be more easily adapted to the individual topic. Look for lots of page variety in coming months.
So here it is, Lift version 5 (or something like that). Enjoy.
