In the middle looking out 1

Business at Lift has been good lately. We’ve been diversifying our client base and taking on all sorts of new and interesting projects. (We really should update our portfolio sometime soon.)

However, by putting our heads down to get a bunch of projects done, we may be letting other (and perhaps better) opportunities slip past us. It’s not that we aren’t trying to make good choices but ...

Where is summer going!? 2

Especially for those of us who live in the North, summer goes by in a flash. So, what have we been up to for the past couple of Months? (Obviously not writing blog articles.)

It’s been a busy summer at lift as we’ve completed a number of projects and started a few more. Some of the notable upcoming works include:

How to get sIFR 3 working on a Shopify site 5

Let me start by saying that Shopify and sIFR 3 are both great products. This is just a little heads up in case anyone comes across the same problem I had the other day.

I’m not going to get into the details about how to use sIFR, because there’s plenty of documentation out there. This ain’t no tutorial!

Strong arm of Lift 1

I’m not sure what the argument was about, but we all agreed that whoever had the strongest arm should be declared the victor.

Spending Time with Virgil 0

“Using natural ingredients, we brew a root beer so pure, so rich and creamy, you’ll swear it’s made in heaven!”

Luke was nice enough to share a 5 litre keg of Virgil’s Rootbeer with the rest of us here at lift. If you haven’t tried it, it’s pretty tasty stuff.

The thing I really enjoy about Virgil’s root beer is how much fun they ...

Web design pointers for Non-Profits 3

The same as nearly any other website, non-profit organizations (or associations) need to worry about all the regular design elements. If you belong to one of these organizations, you’ll need to worry about the site being easy to use, friendly, having the right message, appropriate colors and fonts, and all the other stuff. In addition to all this, you also have to worry about a few other things that ...

The week of foosball dominance 8

Here at the Lift office, we play foosball. A lot.

Over the course of our foosball games, certain trends have begun to develop – for example, Micah always loses, and Eli and I are unstoppable when Eli is on defense. Also, Adrian’s shot is almost as hard as Eli’s(but not quite as unstoppable).

Starting last monday, Eli and I were on a foosball killing spree; we were unbeatable ...

Hi, I'm new here! 2

Hi everyone, I’m the newest member here at lift.

Now to tell you a little bit about myself, I’ve been designing and building websites professionally for a little over 2 years. I’m all about growth and perfecting the sites I build and I believe lift is the best place to work. I look forward to taking on the many projects and challenges here at lift and hope ...
